Senior Tax Accountant

Reporting to the VP of Tax, the Senior Tax Analyst will assist in preparation, review and analysis of tax work papers supporting payments & return filings. He or she will work with a Tax Manager to gather all necessary data to support tax preparation. The Senior Tax Analyst must manage the tax software system, ensure timely and accurate compliance with our tax filing calendar and will process tax payments.

He or she will be responsible for tax accounting analysis and taxable income projections; this includes maintaining depreciation calculations and preparing reports that support tax filings.


Responsibilities
Domestic & International Tax - data collection / preparation of filings: estimates, extensions and returns
Domestic and Foreign ASC 740 Calculations: quarterly and annual tax provision work papers, tax account reconciliations, technical accounting issue research and analysis, and disclosure matters
Act as primary contact for Foreign Business Units for Tax Provision Calculations / Review
Maintain Tax Fixed Assets
Federal, State & Local Tax Audits - assist
Monitor Tax GAAP, Tax Code and regulated rulings that affect Tax Compliance, Strategy & Tax Accounting
Tax Research - compile information and draft memos for management
Respond to government tax notices - gather and analyze information to prepare correspondence
Coordinate the Sales Tax and Property Tax Returns
Process Improvements - assist with tax process improvements & other special projects as needed
Tax Software Administration - maintain and assist throughout Tax Dept.

Requirements
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with an MBA, MST, and/or CPA preferred
International Tax experience is a requirement
4+ Years' experience in Federal Tax
State Tax experience is a plus
Big 4 or public accounting tax experience is preferred
ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) - experience with tax software such as Corptax or RIA OneSource
Comprehension Tax Compliance, Tax Controversy and Tax Planning

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
