3K a year Come join our team! Mullen Holland & Cooper is a well-established firm in Gastonia seeking to hire a Workers Compensation/Civil Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate should have great organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be a team player.
Responsibilities:
Opening new files Gathering client information to investigate each case Communicating with client's attorneys and mediators Conduct research to support legal proceedings.
Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents (such as pleadings) Reviewing and organizing medical records Filing documents with the Industrial Commission Settlement/Hearing Preparation and assistance
Qualifications:
Previous experience, or equivalent as a Worker's Compensation or Civil Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Deadline and detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills Proficient to Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Notary Public preferred Job Type:
