Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs Provide direct instruction and support in various academic subjects Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and maximize student success Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive classroom practices Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students and facilitate learning Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Collaborate with parents, administrators, and other professionals to address student needs Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and IEP documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid certification in Special Education in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain certification) Experience working with students with special needs (preferred) Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
