Summary:
# Performs diversified duties to prepare patient tissue specimens for pathologists.
Tissue preperation includes specimen accessioning, fixation, dehydration, clearing, infiltration, embedding, sectioning, decalcification, micro incineration, routine hematoxylin and eosin staining, special staining techniques as well as immunohistochemistry.
Duties include but not limited to case assembly, frozen sections, specimen pick-up from other hospital/ hospital system departments, stocking supplies, changing and rotating reagents as necessary, proper handling and disposal of chemical waste, maintenance of slide and tissue block archives, and wet tissue disposal.
The applicant will participate in on the job training program to learn the necessary skills to be eligible for the ASCP HT or HTL exam.

Qualifications:
# Minimum Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a total include 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of chemistry and biology (must include credit hours in both).
Requires one year of clinical healthcare or related experience.
Ongoing participation in on the job training program under the direction of a qualified pathologist.
Registry eligible for ASCP HT or HTL exam within one year of accepting position.
Considerable organizational skills.
Ability to work under time constraints.
Ability to interact with nursing and medical staff.
Good customer relations and interpersonal skills.
# Ability to actively participate in team-building activities to foster a strong team oriented environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
